Annual donation for EMS and cemetery will be paid as per the 2005 budget.

Mike Nelson questioned why he has to call to get his driveway plowed and sanded when everyone else around him gets plowed out. Anderson mentioned a problem with a hole in his driveway and with limbs that need cutting along the side. There is also a problem with a culvert that has to be taken care of. Ken will take a look at it.

Hauling private gravel: Private haulers might take issue with the township selling gravel for less than what they can sell it for (the township buys in quantity and can get a better price). Ken said that he had checked with the haulers in the area and they don’t mind.  Ken made a motion to sell private gravel. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

Open Book is set for May 28, 3-5 p.m. Board of Review is set for June 7, 10-noon.

New Business: O’Donnell presented the receipts for the mailing to residents and landowners and for the Tom Harnisch meeting for the amount of $472.07. Ken made a motion to pay for it. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried. O’Donnell gave prices for Foxxy Shopper ads: in the “Announcements” section a boxed 1”x3” ad is $32.50; a 1” x 1 ˝” ad is $17.50. In the “Personals” section a non-boxed ad of 3 lines is $11.74; 4 lines is $12.58. A copy of a letter from the DNR to Mark Loeser notified the board that Loeser has applied for a riprap permit along Elk Creek. A CDL supervisor refresher course is being offered by Gundersen Lutheran. Anderson has had the training before, and so is in compliance. Nelson related a conversation about the Nesbitt driveway off of Uhe Lane- is it part of Uhe Lane. The answer is that it is not, but can be made a town road- Town of Kickapoo would make it a town road up to Town of Clayton, provided it is brought up to specs. Nelson also said that road signs and fire numbers at the end of Uhe Lane are obscured by trees. Ken said the signs should be moved.

The date for the next board meeting is May 16, 2005, 7 p.m.

At 7:45 Nelson made a motion to adjourn. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

Respectfully submitted by

Doreen O’Donnell, Clerk
