Ken Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:01p.m. Burdette Nelson, Don Clements, Keith Larson, Karene Uhe, Doreen O’Donnell, Mary Christensen, Hank Cimaglio, Laurie Copus and Rosie McCullick were also in attendance.

 

Proof of proper notice was shown.

 

Anderson made a motion to approve the June 30 minutes. Clements seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Treasurer’s report: There is $93,500 in the checking account. The estimate for what the Town owes Kraemers is approximately $42,000. Bartzak has not responded to two bills for a culvert. Ken will attempt to get in touch with him when he is in the area.

 

Nelson made a motion to approve accounts payable of $2,121.73 as well as payroll. Anderson seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Liquid chloride is very hard on equipment. A spreader for dry chloride will cost $370.00. Chloride comes in 50 pound bags at $20 each. The tractor will pull the spreader. A water truck will wet the chloride down. Ken said 20 bags are needed, to start. Anderson made a motion to approve the purchase; Clements seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Board viewed 2005 driveway and building permits purchased to date.

 

New Business: Anderson said Town should set a new price for gravel delivered with the town trucks. New price is $55 per load, which includes tax; minimum 7 yards.

 

New resident Hank Cimaglio introduced himself and voiced support for Village Powers.

 

The next meeting dates were set for August 1, 7 p.m. and August 15, 7 p.m.
