Chairman Ken Anderson called the
meeting to order at 7 p.m.
Supervisors Burdette Nelson and Donald Clements, deputy clerk Keith Larson, treasurer Karene Uhe, clerk Doreen O’Donnell, attorney
Eileen Brownlee, Tim and Judy St. Clair, and Hugh Harper were present.
Proof of proper notice was
shown.
The minutes of Sept. 1, 2005 were read and approved.
Clements motioned to approve accounts payable of $13,184.49, which
includes payroll and the third quarter fire payment to the Readstown Fire
Department. Nelson seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
Eileen Brownlee said that the
Clerk of Court’s office is amenable to the town using the county citation system,
pending approval of the judge. If it is adopted, the town needs a ticket book
of uniform citations. Town board members are authorized to issue citations.
Brownlee entertained questions from the board regarding the ordinance she had
sent for them to review.
Tim St. Clair had talked with
Kelly Jacobs of the Vernon County
Land and Water Conservation
Department regarding the requirements for the computer the town needs to handle
the software for the Arial photos and GIS layers. He also asked her to provide
a complete list of GIS layers available for the board to choose from. St. Clair
will donate a laptop computer to the town It will be
made available to taxpayers by appointment, to be used at the town hall. A
color printer will be needed to use with the system. Nelson made motion to approve purchase of a printer for the amount of
approximately $300. Anderson seconded. All in favor; motion carried. Board member Burdette
Nelson, clerk Doreen O’Donnell, and Tim St. Clair will all be trained on the
software once the GIS layers are chosen.
The Kraemer Company has raised
the price of gravel. Anderson motioned to raise the price of gravel from
$55 per 7-yard load to $63, including tax. Clements seconded. All in favor;
motion carried.
New Business: MG&E has offered
a Winter Set price of $1.1355 from Nov.
1, 2005 through March 31,
2006. The board instructed clerk to set it up. Board reviewed the
state building inspector’s report re: status of new dwellings in the township.
Date for the next meeting was
set for Oct. 3, 2005, at 7 p.m.
