TOWN OF
REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Burdette Nelson served as chairman in Ken Anderson’s
absence. The meeting was called to order at
Proof of Proper Notice was shown.
Nelson made a motion to approve the minutes of
Clerk read the treasurer’s report in her absence. There are still three outstanding accounts receivables, one for 2004 taxes and two for 2005 personal property. The Vernon County District Attorney had sent a letter requesting the town to send a copy of a letter he provided, to delinquent dog owners. The letter stated that, “Failure to obtain such a (dog) license is subject to a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment up to 60 days per the penalty section set forth in Chapter 174 (Wis. Statutes). Nelson moved and Clements seconded to table the issue.
Nelson moved and Clements seconded to approve accounts payable of $21,380.56, which includes the contract with VC Humane Society, quarterly payroll, and lottery settlement payments.
Setting the Annual Road Inspection date was tabled until the next meeting.
The Humane Society Animal Care Provider agreement, prorated April-Dec 31 is $330.75.

Clements moved and Nelson seconded to return to two meetings per month.
Hereafter, board will have its meetings after, not before a first-Tuesday election.
For personal reasons, Robert Miller will not be putting out a newsletter; all donations will be returned.
Clements moved to reimburse all time put in by poll workers and Deputy Clerk, including setup time on Election Day, at the regular rate. Nelson seconded.
Nelson moved to have town business mileage submitted to board for reimbursement. Clements seconded.
Nelson moved to change mileage reimbursement to follow Federal Rate. Clements seconded. Clerk was instructed to check with other townships regarding reimbursement to election workers for training.
Board approved VC Land and Water agreement.
New Business: Jim Holmberg asked if he could request patrolmen to grade his driveway, or does he have to check with the chairman? Board said asking patrolman is sufficient. Duanne Garrett asked that parking pad be removed from the town right-of-way along his property.
