Wisconsin
July 3, 2006
Ken Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Don Clements, Karene Uhe, Keith
Larson, and Doreen O’Donnell were in attendance.
Burdette Nelson arrived at 7:05.
Proof of proper notice was shown.
The minutes of June
15, 2006, stand as read.
Nelson made a motion to approve accounts payable of
$19,966.45. Clements seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
Clerk made the board aware of the need for more election
workers, as polling hours have been extended. Qualifications for poll workers
are that they be a resident of the town; age 18 or older; able to work 7 a.m.- 2 p.m. shift
or 2 p.m. – approximately 9 p.m. shift. The wage is $7.50 per hour.
Regarding WTA Report on driveways: clerk
will draft a letter to be sent to those with driveways unsafe for fire trucks
Board will compile a list of the residents with unsafe driveways.
Clerk read an email from landowner Cheryl Puhl regarding the subdivision to go in on Carter
Ridge. Quote from the email: “I am
familiar with that access point because we gave the rights for the access to
Guy Nelson a year ago when told by him that he would only sell the property to
a single owner, or if divided, it would be in large parcels…..We never expected
Guy Nelson to sell to a developer and never expected that more than a few
owners would use it.” Because there are no zoning ordinances, the board said it
has no authority to do anything about it. She also noted that the logging
trucks are damaging Carter Ridge Road.
The next meeting date was set for July 17, 2006, at 7
p.m.
Anderson made
motion to adjourn at 7:58 p.m.
Clements seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
Respectfully submitted by
Doreen O’Donnell, clerk
