REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Kickapoo Town Hall, Readstown, Wisconsin

October 3, 2006

Chairman Ken Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Don Clements, Burdette Nelson, Karene Uhe, and Doreen O’Donnell were also in attendance.

 

Proof of proper notice was shown.

 

The minutes of September 19. 2006, stand as read.

 

Burdette made a motion to approve accounts payable of $16,128.94, which includes quarterly payroll, 1/3 payment to Metco for the new fuel tank, and Lepke Excavating for installing a new culvert and for work on Moore Road. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

The board discussed the preliminary budget.

 

WTA Convention- no one attending.

 

Old Business- Clarification regarding road signs and fire numbers: Lange Enterprises has informed us that a new law now requires all road signs to have 6-inch lettering by the year 2012. Fire numbers are not included in this, and their current size is correct.

 

New Business- Viroqua Schools has invited the board to an open house on Saturday, October 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Karene suggested that the board send thank you notes to Al Buss for donated computer expertise, and to Eileen Brownlee for the legal expertise she donates to the advisory planning committee. Ken made a motion to this effect, and Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

The next meeting date is October 18, 2006, at 7 p.m.

 

Ken motioned to adjourn at 9:18. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
