REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Kickapoo Town Hall, Readstown, Wisconsin

November 14, 2006

Ken Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Burdette Nelson, Don Clements, Karene Uhe, Keith Larson were in attendance.

 

Proof of proper notice was shown.

 

The minutes of November 1, 2006, stand as read.

 

Treasurer’s report: current checkbook balance is $92,468; Tax statement enclosures will include notices from the USDA and Vernon County Zoning, and a letter regarding property tax collection, dog licensing, and a calendar of upcoming important dates.

 

Ken made a motion to approve accounts payable of $3,658.52, which includes election and patrolmen payroll. Burdette seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Ken made a motion to approve the budget. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Sander update: La Crosse Truck & Hoist has a Swanson sander for a cost between $7,554- $7,900. It will be delivered this year, and they will take payment in 2007. Fuel tank: the company was here to measure. Possibly the tank placement can be grandfathered in- we are waiting on the state inspector.

 

Old Business: Pedretti will come to check out insulation job for the shop. Karene asked about the county mapping information that the town purchased. She will check with Kelly Jacobs at the Land Conservation office about getting an updated large map.

 

New Business: caucus date set for Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 2 p.m.

 

Next meeting date: Monday, December 4, 2006, at 7 p.m.

 

Ken made a motion to adjourn at 7:55 p.m. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
