REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Kickapoo Town Hall, Readstown, Wisconsin

February 28, 2007

Ken Anderson called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. Burdette Nelson, Donald Clements, and Doreen O’Donnell were in attendance. David Edgar arrived at 6:15.

 

Proof of proper notice was shown.

 

Burdette made a motion to approve the minutes of February 15, 2007. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Burdette made a motion to approve accounts payable of $10,807.88. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Assessor report: “Please note that the revaluation continues to proceed well, and on course.”

 

V-Plow purchase- board discussed the need for a v-plow for one of the trucks for such snows as we had last weekend. It would save plowing time and fuel. Universal has a used v-plow, sandblasted and painted, for $4,000. A new one would cost $6,820. Burdette and Ken will look at it. Ken made a motion to purchase it if it is deemed acceptable. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

New Business: David Edgar, Readstown Village President, discussed deeding the 1/10 mile of road in the new subdivision to the Town of Kickapoo. On December 14, 2006, the Readstown Village board had made a motion to that effect. The village lawyer is continuing to work on the details.

 

Clerk’s report: UDC building report; board approved the sale of a photocopy of the poll list with confidential voter information removed. WisLine programs- will discuss at a later meeting.

 

Next meeting is March 15, 2007, at 7 p.m.

 

Ken made a motion to adjourn at 7:03 p.m. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
