REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Kickapoo Town Hall, Readstown, Wisconsin

March 15, 2007

Ken Anderson called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Don Clements, Keith Larson, Karene Uhe, Burdette Nelson, Doreen O’Donnell, Ray Hummel, and Chuck Norman were in attendance.

 

Proof of proper notice was shown.

 

The minutes of February 28, 2007, stand as read.

 

Treasurer’s report:  The current checkbook balance is $77,530. Savings, $60,792. Machinery account, $26,400. There is one unpaid personal property tax bill for $19.56. Treasurer sent them a bill. B&T reimbursed the town the total of $256.93 for the property tax paid for the road easements in the new subdivision.

 

Burdette made a motion to approve accounts payable of $2,985.52. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Ken made a motion to pass Resolution 2007-1, accepting the roads in the Ocooch Mountain Prairie subdivision, consisting of Turkey Valley Lane, Jake Lane, Kickapoo Ridge Road, Readstown Ridge Road, Gobbler Point, White Tail Lane, and Carter Ridge Road. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

 

The board filled out the Vernon Electric ballot.

 

Old Business: Sealcoat and Gravel bids will be opened after April 13.

 

No New Business.

 

Audience to visitors: Ray Hummel suggested that the Annual Meeting be held at the community building. Because of the posting requirements for annual meetings, this could not be done. The April 10 meeting would have to be called to order, adjourned, then posted for a later date at the new location.

 

Important upcoming events: April 3 election; April 10, annual meeting; April 5, board meeting.

 

Ken made a motion to adjourn at 7:52; Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
