REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Kickapoo Town Hall, Readstown, Wisconsin

June 18th, 2007

Ken Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Don Clements, Ray Key, Chuck Norman, Doreen O’Donnell, René Fitzgerald & Ron Nash were in attendance.

Proof of proper notice was shown.

The minutes of June 4th, 2007 stand as read.

Treasurer’s report.

$30,014 in Checking Account

$40,000 was transferred into savings totals of $100,963 currently in savings accounts.

We expect July Quarterly transportation aid in $30,000 shared revenue to come in.

Letter was read by Karene from Tim Gaskel, County D.A. regarding dog licenses suggesting that The Town send out a mailing to all known dog owners who are not on the license list informing them of their responsibility to get a license for their dog. Apparently this has been very effective as addressed by other Towns in Vernon County.  Chuck was instructed by Ken to prepare such a letter and send it.

Gravel bill for Norske Road et. al. from last week seal prep is about $30,000 for 5,040 yds.   Treasurer’s Report Stands as Approved.

 Upon review of payables, Don made the motion to approve total disbursements of $3,345.37. Ken seconded. All in favor: motion carried.

Again the gas tank variance by the town hall is being resolved and hopefully the red tag will be permanently removed in the near future. .

Clerk’s report mentioned state inspection status of built homes in the town of Kickapoo.

Audience to visitors:

Ron Nash & René Fitzgerald petitioned the board for a ordinance variance regarding the siting of a cabin 15 ft from the property line they share with Robert Schultz. Town ordinance calls for 30 ft minimum. The board was not able to give this variance at this time without written and notarized consent of Schultz.

Date for next regular board meeting – Monday, July 2nd, 2007, at 7:00 pm at the town hall.

Ken made motion to adjourn at 8:25 pm. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
