REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Kickapoo Town Hall, Readstown, Wisconsin

July 16th, 2007

Ken Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Don Clements, Ray Key, Chuck Norman, Karene Uhe, Keith Larson , Harley McMillen, and Ray Hummel were in attendance

Proof of proper notice was shown.

The minutes of July 2nd, 2007 stand as read.

 Upon review of payables, Don made the motion to approve total disbursements of $38,396.71. Ken seconded. All in favor: motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:  $28,987.64 in checking and $101,244.65 in Savings. Status of Highway budget is of $270,000; approximately $230,000 has been spent and we may have to review our needs in September. Gravel and seal coating are about half of this $240,000 figure.

Seal Coating will begin this week on East River Road.

Old Road Signs have not attracted much attention at the recycle center and Don motioned that we reduce the price from $20 to $5. Ray Key seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Clerk’s Report:  DOT 90% reimbursement requires million passenger mile study to justify submission. Edge voting machine will be turned over to the County Clerk on Wednesday for scheduled maintenance and picked up Friday.  

Old Business:  Status of Fencing dispute resolution – no report.

New Business: Keith Larson submitted a certificate to the board for their signature to ascertain that the Manning cemetery would be maintained in a dignified manner so that the cemetery board can get veterans funds for said purpose. This signed certificate is to be submitted to the County Clerk’s office. 

Audience to visitors: No comments or concerns.

Date for next regular board meeting – Wednesday, August 1^st, 2007, at 7:00 pm at the town hall.

Ken made motion to adjourn at 8:00 pm. Don seconded. All in favor; motion carried.
