TOWN OF KICKAPOO
REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Kickapoo Town Hall, Readstown, Wisconsin
March 25, 2008
Attendees: Ken Anderson, Ray Key, Don Clements, Karene Uhe, Alan Buss, Harley McMillen, Ray Hummel, Eric Gilgenbach, Chuck Stelzer.
Meeting was called to order at 7:05. Proof of proper notice was given.
Minutes from the March 11th meeting were approved as read.
Approve accounts payable:. Two listings were presented from our old accounting program and our new accounting program. Don made motion, Ray seconded
Board of review meeting in La Crosse: Harley is going, Ken is going, Ray will work for Ken that Saturday.
Tractor discussion: We put new tires on and removed the mower, Dwight will take the tractor to the auction. We have two bids in so far. Hopefully more will come in.
Audience to visitors: Chuck asked the board to review a draft snow plowing policy and give feedback so Chuck could write a finished policy. Some discussion regarding charging by the minute, a flat rate. The driveway needs to be accessible and have a turn around. The board suggested that a local contractor could do the plowing. Discussion was tabled.
There were some complaints about the plowing and fairness of the wages. Some roads were only plowed with one pass. Audience asked the board to review the wages and/or give a title position and to adjust accordingly using a closed session if needed. Was asked if we should pay our loan off instead of paying the interest, we will take it into account at our next meeting when there is a treasurers report.
Set date for our next meeting: April 8th at 7:00 PM is our annual meeting. Regular board meeting is Thursday April 10th at 5:30 PM.
Ray made motion to adjourn, Don seconded.
