REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES


Kickapoo Town Hall, Readstown, Wisconsin

January 6, 2009


Attendees: Ken Anderson, Ray Key, Don Clements, Karene Uhe, Harley McMillen, Ray Hummel, Darrel Alexander, Eric Gilenbach, Chuck Stelzner, Hugh Harper, Bruce Hansen, Burdette Nelson, James Holmberg, Emerald Faulkner, Phillip Townsend, Mary Christenson, Steve Christensen, Shay Larson(guest)


Meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM. Proof of proper notice was given.


Minutes from the December 16, 2008 were approved as read with the correction of the spelling of Chuck Stelzner's name


Ken Anderson made a motion to change the newspaer that notices are placed in from The Epitaph to the Vernon County Broadcaster. Ken Anderson made a motion to change the newspaer that notices are placed in from The Epitaph to the Vernon County Broadcaster. The motion was seconded by Ray Key.


Accounts payables were approved by a motion of Ken Anderson and seconded by Don Clements.


The clerk read a letter notifying the town board that a Salt Storage Facility inspection was going to be held the week of January 12, 2009. A card was returned to the company indicating that Ken Anderson wanted to be present at the inspection.


Don Clements made a motion to authorize Ken Anderson to purchase additional sand and salt for the township as needed. The motion was seconded by Ray Key.


The Rural Mutual representative was unable to attend due to illness. However, he sent a tray of crackers and cheese for the meeting participants.


A motion was made by Ken Anderson and seconded by Ray Key to give Emerald Faulkner an additional $50 per pay check to be used for health insurance.


Ken Anderson indicated that his dog count was 2/3 completed and would be completed by the end of that week.


Ken Anderson indicated that his Skil saw was broken when the door to the Recycling Center was broken on May 6.Ray made a motion to reimburse Ken for a new Skil saw. The motion was seconded by Don Clements.


Audience to Visitors: Concern was expressed about the safety of the lack of guard rails on certain roads in the township. It was suggested that the patrolman make up a list of those areas that needed guard rails and we would then proceed to follow through on that list.


A request was made by a citizen that Kramer Company provide the township a letter agreeing to provide adequate foundation for the Song/Bird Lane.



The date for the next meeting is Tuesday February 10, 2009 at 6:00 PM.


Ken Anderson made a motion to adjourn and Ray Key seconded the motion.. The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM.
